Hi,

with `curl -XGET 'http://localhost:9200/_nodes'` I can find some information about my node(s).
The result looks like

```
{
"cluster_name" : "clustername",
"nodes" : {
"Pd23jshlTYO7yXNEsPM4tw" : {
"name" : "someName",
"host" : "myhost"
}
}
```

Now I would like to filter the result of the query, so that for example the return value would be "myhost".

How must the query look like for getting that information?

Thanks

From version 1.6 onwards you can filter paths in the response using the [response filtering options](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/common-options.html#_response_filtering). This should give you what you want.
