# 401 Unauthorised error heartbeat

Hi  
I have a question about Elasticsearch and kibana setup on my work account  
So I have setup elk stack on an AWS EC2 instance and an other ubuntu web server.  
I am working on self managed not cloud based.  
I have installed heartbeat on the ubuntu web server. When I look at kibana-\>Uptime I do see ubuntu server there but it shows the server is down, but that server is up and running. ![401 error|690x101]  
It gives an error 401 unauthorised .  
{"error":{"root\_cause":[{"type":"security\_exception","reason":"missing authentication credentials for REST request [/]","header":{"WWW-Authenticate":"Basic realm="security" charset="UTF-8""}}],"type":"security\_exception","reason":"missing authentication credentials for REST request [/]","header":{"WWW-Authenticate":"Basic realm="security" charset="UTF-8""}},"status":401}.  
But I have given Elasticsearch username and password in the config file.  
Could you please help me resolve this issue.
