# About kibana Summation

so i have two fields which types is number  
i want to Summons them and put It in a new field  
so can i do it on kibana or elasticsearch but i cant do it on logstash  
because i don't know theirs name before i see it on kibana  
i only need statistical results on kibana

Hi,

You can use scripted fields in Kibana to do it. On your index pattern page under management - you can add a scripted field and write a script to calculate the sum of the fields you wanted under it.
