# Access Elastic search

Welcome to the forum.

I am sorry, but the post is horribly formatted.

But in middle of the image (sic) is a getaddrinfo failed message. That's a name resolution error, the hostname part of your URL was not resolved to an IP address.

You might wish to tidy up the original post with proper formatting, and please don't post images of text. And consider to obfuscate your hostnames.

Hi @BENAHMEDamani ,

To help with testing and identifying the issue, as mentioned earlier, try using the IP address instead of the hostname.
