Hi, good morning.

Can I add another index within a snapshot that already exists?

Thank you.

No. But you can create another snapshot with both indices, and only segments not in the repository will be uploaded (which should be mostly the new index, or only the new index if nothing has been added to, nor a force merge performed, on the older index).

Thank you.
I asked why I need to create a new backup policy.
I need to create a backup after 365 days, and creating a snapshot for each index is not practical I guess.
What is the best practice for this?

You can add as many indices to a snapshot _at creation time_ as you want. You just can't append anything to a snapshot, once created.
