# Adding Labels to Visualizations

I have just started working with Kibana and I wondering if there is a way to add labels to the actual parts of a visualization (e.g., add a text string label to the parts of a pie chart). Right now I can hover over the pie pieces and see what the pie represents, but I would like to place a permanent label on each pie piece. Is this possible?

Unfortunately this isn't currently possible, the github issue tracking this can be found at [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/4599](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/4599).
