# Adding new button to navbar

hello

give me some advice:  
i need to add some button on navbar on discover , dashboard pages  
what UI Exports type i should use?  
hacks or spyModes?

Hi Kanagat,

sorry for the very late reply.

You should use `hacks` for this. `spyModes` is meant for adding new "modes" to the debug panel on every visualization (like Request, Response, Table, etc.).

Though of course those files will both "just be loaded" and thus it technically wouldn't matter where you do it.
