Hi Can one advise or point to references on best practices on deploying EL on VMs? What config to go for? impact and issues that can arise from VMs with over-subscription. Thanks ---

The settings supplied in the Definitive Guide apply to any install - [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/guide/current/administration.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/guide/current/administration.html) We don't have anything about over subscription, though I'd suggest you don't use memory ballooning, I have seen some pretty bad things with that and `mlockall`. ---
