# Akamai \<\> Elasticsearch integration

Hello everyone!

Hope someone could clarify the following for me.

We have a self-hosted Elasticsearch cluster, no Fleet server yet. Recently we added the Akamai integration, provided all the necessary information (API Host, Tokens, Secrets, etc.)

Where and how should we add an Elastic Agent since this is looks like an API integration?

Where link to setup of Elastic agent can be found:

It can be setup as self-managed standalone without need of Fleet as well ([Install standalone Elastic Agents (advanced users) | Fleet and Elastic Agent Guide [8.3] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/fleet/8.3/install-standalone-elastic-agent.html))

Here is also a link to Akamai integrations [Akamai | Elastic Documentation](https://docs.elastic.co/integrations/akamai), where described this integrations is powered by Elastic agent.
