I have a ES cluster with 2 client nodes and 4 data nodes. How do i setup an alert to email/slack when my cluster status changes from Green to Yellow or Red?

Hi,

This is something the new X-Pack [Altering](https://www.elastic.co/products/x-pack/alerting) feature can help you with. The process is described here: [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/x-pack/5.0/watch-cluster-status.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/x-pack/5.0/watch-cluster-status.html)

For Elasticsearch 2.x that plugin is called [Watcher](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/watcher/2.4/index.html) and is part of the commercial offerings of Elastic.

@cbuescher Is there any way to do it from Datadog?
