# Alerting - publish to aws SNS

For X-pack Alerting I dont see "publish to SNS" as one of the out of box actions. Is there plan to add AWS SNS as one of the "Actions" ?  
Right now work around is to use logstash sns output plugin. It works but there is a need to manage another logstash instance just for SNS.

Hey,

right now, there is no such plan. I'll add as a requested feature internally, and if there is enough interest, we might add it in the future.

However, for now, you need to use logstash and forward the request from alerting over to logstash.
