# Alerts by mail in ELK 7.8.1 stack with basic license

Hi people, I have an ELK 7.8.1 stack with basic license.

I heard that in the basic license there is no way to use alerts by emails, this is a feature from a paid license:

Is there any way to have email alerts in ELK basic version, maybe using a third party software or something like this???

Here's the information on what features are available at different licensing levels - [https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions](https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions)

I don't know a way to provide alerts by emails in the basic license as its a gold or higher feature.
