Not sure if this is malevolence or a bug in elasticsearch, but all our dashboards disappeared - twice now.
The .kibana/dashboard is empty now.

Has anyone seen this?

Maybe someone is deleting the index?
Check your logs for mentions of `.kibana`, if it's being created then that's the likely problem.

As I mentioned, index and rest of the types in the .kibana index are there but all dashboards and a few visualizations gone.

Then someone is deleting them, ES won't just remove things.
