I understand that the mapping types are being removed, I want to know is their any other way out to have multiple schema in a single index?

Something like putting different schema in different shards for one single index? If yes how that can be done.

There are multiple strategies described in this blog post.

> Mapping types are going away. Elasticsearch 6.0 supports a single mapping type per index only, and it represents the first step on the way to removing types altogether.

No other solutions than what is described in the blog post.

What kind of data do you have that would require something else?
