The Dev Tools Console is nice but very basic. I am trying to find an alternative that retains all the niceties of the Console (e.g auto-highlight, intellisense, etc...), but also provide other features such as ability to load/save query files and data export. Perhaps even index management and/or inspection.

I've looked at the myriad of Visual Studio Code plugins, but none of them allow you for any type of authentication - they all assume that ElasticSearch instance is unsecured.

Am I missing something? I can't be the first person that is looking for something like this.
