Perhaps it will be of interest to somebody. We have written (and will support) an "official" plugin to support on-the-fly search results clustering (aka "dynamic facets") inside ElasticSearch. That first implementation did not have the support for Java API (only REST) and I wanted a clean-room implementation to get the understanding of the internal workings of ES.
