Today we released version 1.7.0 of the swift repository plugin. It is Elasticsearch 1.7 compatible. Honestly the 1.6.0 version will probably also work with 1.7.0 but this keeps the versions in line. You can read about it [here](https://github.com/wikimedia/search-repository-swift).
