I'm happy to announce the availability of [Httpbeat 1.0.1](https://github.com/christiangalsterer/httpbeat/releases/tag/1.0.1).
[Httpbeat](https://github.com/christiangalsterer/httpbeat) is a [Beat](https://www.elastic.co/products/beats) which polls HTTP endpoints in a regular interval and sends the HTTP request and response as an event to a configured shipper, e.g. Elasticsearch and Logtsash.
Example use cases are:
- Monitoring of [Apache Stats](https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/mod_status.html)
- Monitoring of Java application with [Jolokia](https://jolokia.org/)
- Monitoring of [Spring Boot Actuators](http://docs.spring.io/spring-boot/docs/current/reference/htmlsingle/#production-ready)

Release 1.0.1 contains the following changes:
- Proper shutdown without stacktrace or hanging process
- Reuse of HTTP connection for each endpoint
