# Any esrally track which can index and query at the same time

I watched two videos here  
([Quantitative Cluster Sizing | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/kr/elasticon/conf/2016/sf/quantitative-cluster-sizing) / [Using Rally to Get Your Elasticsearch Cluster Size Right | Elastic Videos](https://www.elastic.co/webinars/using-rally-to-get-your-elasticsearch-cluster-size-right))

and both of them emphasize the importance of testing indexing and querying at the same time to figure out how these two factors effect each other

I tried to benchmark the test using eventdata track  
([GitHub - elastic/rally-eventdata-track: Rally track for simulating event-based data use-cases](https://github.com/elastic/rally-eventdata-track))  
but it is no longer supported for elasticsearch 8.X version

Is there any rally track for testing indexing and querying at the same time? In my case indexing data and searching happens same time -it is for analyzing logging- so I think I have to test both

Hello! Thank you for your interest in Rally. Multiple tracks support concurrent indexing and querying:

- The dense\_vector track default challenge has index-update-concurrent-with-searches
- The pmc track has an indexing-querying challenge
- The elastic/logs track has a [logging-indexing-querying challenge](https://github.com/elastic/rally-tracks/tree/master/elastic/logs#logging-indexing-and-querying-logging-indexing-querying)
- The elastic/security track has a [security-indexing-querying challenge](https://github.com/elastic/rally-tracks/blob/master/elastic/security/README.md#security-indexing-and-querying-security-indexing-querying)
