# Apm Configuration with MongoDb Pod Kubernetes

Hi Team,

It would be helpful if anyone could help me track MongoDb pods in Kubernetes. The APM server is up and running in the ELK cluster, but the agent needs to be running with MongoDB. If there is any documentation regarding the integration of APM agent in a mongodb yml file, that would be helpful.

MongoDb version 6.0.8  
APM 8.8.1

The APM agents do not support monitoring the MongoDB instances itself. They do however support monitoring client applications accessing the MongoDB.

To monitor the MongoDB instances, you can use the [MongoDB elastic agent integration](https://docs.elastic.co/en/integrations/mongodb).

Same for Kafka: The APM agents allow monitoring of client applications talking to kafka, for monitoring Kafka itself there's an [elastic agent integration](https://docs.elastic.co/integrations/kafka).
