I am using the apm-server with jaeger grpc enabled and a jaeger tracer as client. Does the apm server support span that have follows from as reference or only child\_of?

@tstadler welcome to the forum!

Currently the server does not record any references other than `child_of`. There's an open issue to extend our data model to support additional references: [https://github.com/elastic/apm/issues/122](https://github.com/elastic/apm/issues/122)

Please subscribe to the issue for updates, and feel free to leave a comment if you have any details on your use-case that you would like to share.
