# APM license for On-premise elasticsearch installation

Hi,
I am trying to explore elasticsearch-APM license for on-premise installation, however, the solutions I am getting are for cloud-based installation, can anyone help me on whether the license is available for on-premise installation or only cloud-based installation?

Hi @parvvam Welcome to the community
First, yes, APM is absolutely available for self-man's license
In fact Most APM features / capabilities are a basic Free license.
APM Server Is basic license as is all the collection agents and the built-in APM UI in Kibana which includes distributed tracing, latency, graphs, throughput graphs, etc.
There a few features that are commercial licensed such as automatic anomaly detection of latency and throughput.
