My team is very interested in using the operator to deploy App Search nodes in our OpenShift cluster, definitely not looking for a finished product at this point as we're still in development, but we also don't want to create a throwaway pipeline to deploy it either. I'd heard from a PR that there was going to be a v1.2 ECK branch soonish. Just checking to see if that will be available soon or if we should roll something in-house.

Yes, Enterprise Search _(which includes App Search)_ should be available in ECK 1.2 which is in testing phase and should be released in a few weeks.
