# App Search Limitations

Hi there!

I've been evaluating App Search for use in indexing \>10 Million documents. I've got a fairly basic self-hosted ES cluster, along with self-hosted app search.

I've written several hundred thousand documents using App Search's API, but it only shows ~12k on the dashboard.

Is it possible to self-host App Search at this scale? What limitations are there on App Search?

It sounds like something is awry, as that should work fine. Can you explain the setup/specs of the App Search instances and the backing ES cluster?
