I know it is possible to add multiple drives as data locations on a specific node but I am curious if it is possible to assign specific indices to a data tier within the same node. We are indexing a lot of data but we have a huge amount of data that isn't searched often so we want to put that on a slower drive / data tier on the same node.

Is it possible for one node to have multiple data tiers so that certain indices get placed on slower storage and more frequently accessed indices reside on NVME / SSD storage?

I know this can be done across multiple nodes but can it be done on a single node?

Thanks!

No, this is not possible and does indeed require multiple nodes.

Christian,

Thanks for confirming this!
