# Automated Testing for ELK

If you ask a more specific question it'll be easier for people to respond. Do you have a product that uses ES that you want to run integration tests on? Or is it ES itself you want to test?

we have kafka-logstash pushing data into ES.

would like to test following things  
ELK stack  
logstash to ES  
ES mappings and index  
ES index failure in case of garbage input.  
...

Okay. Well, that should be doable in pretty much any language. I'd run the various ELK components in Docker containers to keep the test environment table and avoid clashes with whatever is running on the host.
