Hello, I'm new to elasticsearch workflow & we recently startedd moving out of Ali cloud. We are using Aiven's elasticsearch which uses opensource distribution. We would like to have automatic rollover on our indices however we couldn't configure ILM as Aiven doesn't have x-pack feature due to proprietary license unfortunately . I would like to know if we can still have automatic rollover feature without x-pack. ---

You can use Curator but that runs outside Elasticsearch as a cron job. ---
