# Automatically create engine if not exist when ingest data to Elastic App Search with logstash

When I use logstash to ingest data, it said that engine not found. Is there anyway to automatically create engine if the engine does not exists.

Hey @Rustin_Spencer you're using a workflow in App Search that heavily depends on engine creation as a first step. However, the future workflows and the interaction between ingest & indices is going to evolve with our roadmap. Would you be interested in giving us some feedback on your use case?
