Hello.

I believe [automatic report generation](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/automating-report-generation.html#automating-report-generation) is available in [GOLD subscription](https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions) .

However, would there be any way to implement automatic report generation by _PDF_ or _PNG image_ using other than _Report API_ ?

My goal is to export dashboard and back it up to S3.
I appreciate if I could get some help.

Thanks,
Yu Watanabe

Hey @YuWatanabe,

Is there something lacking in the APIs that make them unusable for you? For an S3 backup, you could write a [small script using curl](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/automating-report-generation.html#_use_a_script) to generate the report on-the-fly, and then subsequently publish to an S3 bucket.

Or, are you asking if there is a way to generate these reports without a paid subscription? There unfortunately isn't a way to do that, but you can run Kibana and Elasticsearch on [Elastic Cloud](https://www.elastic.co/products/elasticsearch/service), which gives you all of these features and more, for a [very reasonable starting price](https://www.elastic.co/products/elasticsearch/service/pricing).

@Larry_Gregory

Thank for the reply.

My intention refers to your second opinion.

Thanks. Just spinned up the elastic cloud and confirmed the function.

I will see if this will be an option for us.
