# AWS RDS slow query

Is there a way to show the slow query on aws rds instance?

I know there is metricbeat modules for rds can you give me sample config for this.

Hi,

You could look at turning on the [Slow Log functionality](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/index-modules-slowlog.html) to try and find slow queries. We also have an article [on fine tuning](https://www.elastic.co/blog/advanced-tuning-finding-and-fixing-slow-elasticsearch-queries) which might help.
