Today we've released Beats 1.0.0-beta4. It includes improvements for Packetbeat and Topbeat and something new: Filebeat, the successor of the Logstash-Forwarder. We have a [blog post](https://www.elastic.co/blog/beats-beta4-filebeat-lightweight-log-forwarding) going into detail about Filebeat.

The Release notes for Packetbeat are [here](https://www.elastic.co/downloads/past-releases/packetbeat-1-0-0-beta4) and for Topbeat are [here](https://www.elastic.co/downloads/past-releases/topbeat-1-0-0-beta4).
