# Build and distribution of custom elasticsearch plugins

Hello, following [my old post](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/custom-pugin-version/221669) I have question. As I'm using rally 1.4.1 because I can't install python 3.8, so I don't know if the behavior is the same in rally 2.0.0.  
All configurations for plugins are in a team repository while what is needed to build it or download it are in rally.ini (under source and distributions sections). Is it possible to put the build and download things into the teams repository instead ?

Hi,

the plugin handling is identical for Rally 1.4.1 and 2.0.0. Unfortunately, it is not possible yet to put these properties in the team repository.

Hi, thanks for the answer. When you said "yet" it means that you considere putting, in the futur, these properties in the team repository ?
