# Can a watcher action send mail without authentication?

The email action documentation talks about how to authenticate to gmail, outlook etc. I have sendmail bound to localhost on port 25. Can I configure an action that sends mail using that without authentication?

yes you can, just omit the username/password in the account configuration.
