Hi @searchwithme

Since you are speaking of Searchable Snapshot you will need an Enterprise license so you should be in contact with your Elastic Account team to answer these questions.

In the mean time you can look at this

> **[Searchable snapshots | Elasticsearch Guide \[8.17\] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/searchable-snapshots.html)**

> You can also use alternative implementations of these repository types, for instance [MinIO](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/repository-s3.html#repository-s3-client), as long as they are fully compatible. Use the [Repository analysis](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/repo-analysis-api.html) API to analyze your repository’s suitability for use with searchable snapshots.
