# Can filebeat delete the file after complete the transfer

or touch off a script to do the delete.

As far as I know it can't, but the Logstash file input plugin has reasonably recently added a [read mode](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-inputs-file.html#_read_mode) that seems to match what you are looking for.

the file filebeat transfered is not on the server have logstash,so this is not possible.
