# Can i install two heartbeat on two servers and connet them to only one elasticsearh and kibana

Hello,  
i have old heartbeat connect with Elasticsearch and kibana and i want to create another heartbeat and connect it to same uptime is this possbile and how can we configure index and differentiate between them

You can do that, as you can filter based on the hostname that Heartbeat is running on. Or, you can add tags - [Common monitor options | Heartbeat Reference [7.16] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/heartbeat/current/monitor-options.html#monitor-tags)

Just to add to what Mark has already mentioned, you can also configure Heartbeat to use [`observer geo metadata`](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/heartbeat/current/configuration-observer-options.html), in which case the Uptime app will show your Heartbeats as separate locations in the details view.

Example:
