Hi Experts,

I have installed ES shield and Shield for kibana for testing purpose. Is it possible that user can change his password of it's own from kibana browser itself. I know this is something which is not available in kiaban , but any alternative to this would be really appreciated .

This feature is something which most of the tools provides , like change password on first logon etc.

Please advice

Thanks
VG

Starting with version 5.0, users can change their password via the API and in the Kibana UI.

Not yet. We are working very hard to finish up 5.0. You can give the latest release a try if you'd like [https://www.elastic.co/blog/elastic-stack-release-5-0-0-alpha-5](https://www.elastic.co/blog/elastic-stack-release-5-0-0-alpha-5)
