Hi,

In one of the implementation, there is an ask whether we can store the huge data that is being indexed in Elasticsearch onto Hadoop only? Is this possible with the ES-hadoop integration?

Thanks in advance.

That's not what the connector is for, it only moves data in/out of Hadoop to Elasticsearch.

Is it possible to mount the hadoop file system on Linux. Then use the mount to store the elasticsearch indices? Any issues with this?

You can try but be careful - it's not something that we recommend due to the reasons mentioned [here](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/issues/9072)
