# Can ingest pipeline or logstash input plugin be configured in linux where log source is from mounted windows dir as nfs partition

can ingest pipeline or logstash input plugin be configured in linux where log source is from mounted windows dir as nfs partition
Setup:
logstash/ingest pipeline is running in linux
App logs are getting stored in windows server directory
Window log dir is mounted as NFS partition in linux machine running logstash/ingest pipeline
Wanted to know if it is possible to configure windows dir mounted as NFS partition in logstash input plugin or in ingest pipeline

It is not recommended to have Logstash nor Filebeat read from NFS partitions as there are known issues and warnings in the docs about it.
