# Can metricbeat save events to a local file for a while in case logstash or elasticsearch has problem

Dear ESers,  
I have a question, with ELK solution, We don't deploy a queuing system like rabbitMQ/redis/kafaka to hold the events yet.  
if the shipper side(metricbeat) recognized logstash/elasticsearch has problem, can't sent to, can metricbeat save the events to a local file .  
after logstash or ES cluster recovery from problems, and resent the events to them..

This is currently not possible, but there is this has been requested and there is an [issue on GitHub](https://github.com/elastic/beats/issues/575) tracking this.

This feature is worked on and we hope to have it available with 6.2.
