# Can not be imported as a dangling index, as index with same name already exists in cluster metadata

I found these errors in my elasticsearch.log:

```auto
 can not be imported as a dangling index, as index with same name already exists in cluster metadata

```

What does it have to do with X-Pack?

asking for help.

I am facing this error, I thought it is related to monitoring which is part of x-pack.

Any idea how to avoid duplicating indices?
