I have several servers in monitoring. I would like to know if packetbeat can send out some packets to the servers to test if the server is still alive, just like what **ping** do. Is that possible?

packetbeat is a passive network monitor. Maybe there some [community beat](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/libbeat/current/community-beats.html) your use case (e.g. pingbeat).
