I am still reading up on watcher and have a quick question. Can watcher invoke external APIs in the event of needing to alert ?

Hey,

please take your time and check out the [documentation](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/watcher/2.4/index.html), especially the parts about the [http input](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/watcher/2.4/input.html#input-http) and the [webhook action](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/watcher/2.4/actions.html#actions-webhook). After reading, please refine your question, what exactly _invoke external APIs in the event_ means, maybe with a concrete use-case. Thanks!
