# Can we apply single filter on two dashboard created on same index?

I have created one index on top of it I am creating 2 dashboards I want an common filter for both Dashboards If apply filter on dashboard-1 it should automatically filter out the dashboard-2

If you use [pinned filters](https://www.elastic.co/blog/stick-with-it-pinned-filters) then a filter can apply to everything, but there isn't any way to coorelate to specific dashboards.
