# Can we filter data by default based on login user in dash board?

if A user creates 10 records, if B creates 10 records, in dash board i have given the filter based on user. when user A login to dash board, he should be able to see only the 10 records he created. the user selection in control should be pre selected and disable.

is it possible to know the logged in user and filter the data default based on login user ?

@anjilinga I don't think that's possible right now.

Could you create an issue in the Kibana repo [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/new/choose](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/new/choose), with some additional explanation and examples?
