# Cannot restore index

# Backup and index to a gzip using stdout:

elasticdump   
--input=[http://production.es.com:9200/my\_index](http://production.es.com:9200/my_index)   
--output=$   
| gzip \> /data/my\_index.json.gz

After dump index to my\_index.json.gz success I cannot restore them. So how can i restore index with **my\_index.json.gz** file ?
