# Cannot retrieve keystore values in pipeline

Faced a problem with logstash getting started after upgrade to 7.8 release.
Using different variables for storing passwords in keystore. like for elasticsearch users, cert paswords etc..
This variables is used in many pipelines and logstash.yml config file.
So, the problem is Logstash cannot retreive/evaluate those vars for substitution while starting.
It is not fresh installation nor configuration. Many previous releases worked fine in such configuration.
What happened? a Bug?
Noticed, start process going much faster now, but only 1 of 10 start attempts goes fine.
