# Can't create index pattern if you have more than 100 indices

Hello Alec,

Yes, 100 is the hard limit for index patterns. There is the option of Elasticsearch Curator however. Check out [this related thread](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/index-pattern-is-limited-to-100/133463) for a few helpful links.
