# Can't create new metricset

Hi,  
I have tried to create new metricset on a Windows server r2 with the command "make create-metricset" at the metricbeat directory and I receive an output of " 'make' is not recognized as an internal command or external command, operable program or batch file"  
( I have installed go)  
I guss I don't use the command the right way, so how do I use it.

Hi @noamblu1,

I'm afraid our make scripts are meant to be run on Linux. In the other hand, it should be easy to extract the needed commands to do it by yourself:

Also you can copy an existing module and adapt it to your needs, ie:

I have another question  
If I run the command: "make" does it run all over the makefile?
