# Canvas: Make the Time Filter display absolute dates

Hi,
I added a time filter element in my canvas to restrict, well, the timestamp of the records.
The report I'm building is destined to be exported as a PDF and sent to the clients.
As such, displaying the dates in relative terms does not make sense.
Is there a way I can make the time filter show dates in absolute format? A custom format would be great, actually.

This is not currently possible. There currently an open issue which I believe is what you're looking for: [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/35307](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/35307)
If not, I would recommend opening a new feature request for this.
